GHG Calculation Platform — IPCC national-inventory methodology, multi-country grids, project-based pricing.
Five dedicated IPCC sector modules — Energy, IPPU, Agriculture, LULUCF and Waste — plus scenario modelling and a corporate carbon footprint tool. Tier 1 / 2 / 3 accuracy, AR4–AR6 GWPs, Excel and PDF export. Audit-ready out of the box.
Independent calculation modules for each of the five IPCC sectors, following the national and facility-level inventory methodology of the IPCC 2006 Guidelines.
Calculate, verify and report greenhouse gas emissions from every energy-sector source — stationary combustion, mobile combustion, fugitive emissions, reference approach and CCS — on a single platform built for international standards. Fully aligned with IPCC 2006 Guidelines Volume 2 — Energy.
Modules
| Module | Scope |
|---|---|
| Stationary Combustion | Emissions from coal, natural gas, fuel oil, LPG, biomass and other fuels burned in boilers, furnaces, turbines and generators — broken down by IPCC sector and fuel type |
| Mobile Combustion | Road, rail, maritime, aviation and off-road fuel consumption — detailed by vehicle category and fuel |
| Fugitive Emissions | Methane from natural-gas transmission/distribution, coal mining (underground, surface, abandoned) and oil & gas production — plus refrigerant and SF₆ leaks |
| Reference Approach | Top-down energy balance cross-check — validates sectoral calculations against national supply data (production + imports − exports − bunkers ± stock change) |
| CCS | Carbon capture, transport and geological storage corrections — ensures captured CO₂ is properly deducted from the inventory |
Emissions Calculated
Plan Coverage
The five modules above follow IPCC national-inventory methodology — they answer “what does this country or facility emit?”. This one answers a different question: “what does this organisation emit?”. Entity-level accounting under the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard and ISO 14064-1:2018, covering Scope 1, Scope 2 and all 15 Scope 3 categories. It is licensed separately and requires none of the sector packages.
Built around the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard and ISO 14064-1:2018. Scope 1, 2 and 3 calculated in a single tool, with location-based and market-based dual reporting for Scope 2.
Platform Features
| Feature | Description |
|---|---|
| Scope 1 · 2 · 3 | Scope 1: 4 sub-modules (Stationary · Mobile · Fugitive · Process) · Scope 2: 3 sub-modules (Location · Market · Steam/Heat/Cooling) · Scope 3: all 15 categories — integrated calculation on a single platform |
| GHG Protocol / ISO 14064 | Full GHG Protocol Corporate Standard compliance; structured in alignment with ISO 14064-1:2018 using AR5 GWP values — structured outputs that support audit and verification processes |
| Cat. 15 — Investments | PCAF attribution-factor approach for financed emissions (attribution = outstanding exposure ÷ EVIC, enterprise value including cash), calculated as a single portfolio-level figure — asset-class breakdown and the PCAF data quality score (1-5) are out of scope |
| Dual Reporting | Parallel location-based (grid emission factor) and market-based (certificate/contract) calculation for Scope 2; purchased steam, heat and cooling included |
| CBAM Module | 24 products with direct, indirect and precursor emission pathways (cement, steel, aluminium, fertilisers, hydrogen, electricity); 2023-2035 free allocation fade-out calculation; EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism reporting infrastructure |
| Sectoral Benchmarking | NACE-code-based carbon intensity comparison to assess your organisation’s sectoral positioning |
| Report Outputs | PDF report, Excel export and print — structured output formats compatible with ISO 14064-1 reporting requirements |
Scope 3 × 15 Categories + Cat. 15 Attribution + CBAM
All 15 Scope 3 categories, Cat. 15 financed emissions via the PCAF attribution factor, sector-specific CBAM reporting. Fully aligned with ISO 14064-1:2018.
Scope Details
Sample Outputs
Full Scope 1 · 2 · 3 inventory report — dual reporting, audit log, AR5 GWPs, ISO 14064-1 alignment.
From IPCC default factors to plant-specific Tier 3 precision — with CBAM, Scope 2 dual reporting and scenario modelling built in.
All calculations are based on the IPCC 2006 Guidelines methodology. Up-to-date emission factors and international data sets are included for every source category. Your reports are ready for independent international audit.
Country-specific Tier 2 grid emission factors for 8 countries (Turkey, USA, UK, Germany, France, China, Japan, India) plus the EU-27 average. IPCC 2006 Tier 1 defaults for all other sectors; users can supply their own Tier 2/3 values.
Flexible calculation from default factors to facility-specific advanced precision. Each module allows tier selection based on available data; inventory accuracy increases as you progress.
All calculation details are exported in report-ready Excel and PDF formats. Source-category breakdown tables, year-on-year comparisons and summary sheets are generated automatically.
Multi-year trend analysis and scenario comparison are built in for Energy, IPPU, Agriculture and Waste, covering 81 mitigation measures in total. LULUCF scenario modelling is in development; its annual calculations can be run and compared separately, as can corporate inventories.
Switch between IPCC AR4 (2007), AR5 (2014) and AR6 (2021) assessment report GWP values with a single click. Full flexibility according to your reporting standard; all gases are converted automatically.
Emission projections with BAU, IPCC 1.5°C, IPCC 2°C and EU ETS Fit-for-55 built-in templates. Develop NDC-aligned mitigation strategies using a 81-measure sectoral catalogue and custom scenarios (S-curve, polynomial, exponential).
Embedded carbon calculation under the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism, annual free-allowance phase-in rates and net CBAM certificate cost against the EU ETS price. Third-country carbon prices paid can be deducted.
40+ IPCC 2006 fuel records (NCV, carbon content), 15+ vehicle/fuel combinations, grid emission factors for Turkey (TEİAŞ), EU-27, USA (EPA eGRID), UK (DEFRA), Germany (UBA), France (RTE), China (NDRC), Japan (MoE) and India (CEA), plus 14 EEIO sector coefficients — all up-to-date and referenced inside the platform.
Parallel location-based (country/regional grid factor) and market-based (REC, PPA, residual mix) calculation per GHG Protocol Scope 2 Guidance. Report the difference between both methods in a single output.
Location-based Scope 2 grid emission factors for 8 countries plus the EU-27 average. Market-based residual mix values for EU, Germany, UK and USA on the roadmap. All factors sourced from national TSOs and official registries (TEIAS, IEA, EPA eGRID, DEFRA, UBA, RTE, NDRC, MoE Japan, CEA).
